Doctor of Ministry Program
Admission Requirements
1) Applicants must present a Master of Divinity (M. Div.) degree from an accredited institution. They must have
maintained at least 3.0 cumulative GPA during their M. Div. program. Up to six (6) doctoral-level credit hours
may be transferred in from an accredited institution.
2) Applicants must have a minimum of three years of full-time ministry experience after obtaining the Master of
Divinity degree.
3) All applicants must submit the following:
a. Completed Application form, Click here for

b. Non-refundable application fee ($80 for international students and $35 for domestic students). I-20 Sevis Fee
$200.
c. A biographical essay (minimum 500 words). It should include one’s conversion and Christian experience, call
to ministry, goals and purpose in enrolling in the program, relationships with one’s spouse (if married) and
family, and a resume of all previous positions in Christian ministry
d. Personal ministry vision statement (minimum 300 words)
e. 3 letters of reference. One personal reference and two should be references for the applicant’s experience
in ministry
f. Official transcripts from all previous colleges or universities attended at the undergraduate and graduate level
g. 2 pictures
h. Affidavit of financial support

Applicants may obtain an admissions packet from the Office of Admissions by calling (714) 517-1945 ext. 2001.
Tuition and Fees
Tuition per semester hour: Doctor of Ministry $320.00
INTERNATIONAL ADMISSIONS
Students who do not reside in the USA and who wish to attend BCU must follow the regular admissions guidelines
for the respective program to which they seek admission. In addition, international students must satisfy the
requirements of the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service by becoming eligible to study in the USA
through the obtainment of an F-1 visa. In order to apply for an F-1 visa, a student must obtain an I-20 form from
BCU or another approved institution. Candidates must submit the following items in order to obtain an I-20 from
BCU:
1. Certificate of Bank Deposit
2. Affidavit of Support and its related documents
3. I-20 processing fee: $100 (if transferring within the U.S. the fee is $50)
Approval for the I-20 is granted after a student has met all the necessary financial and academic requirements and
has provided proof of return following graduation. Students desiring the I-20 should contact Bethesda Christian
University and request a special I-20 admissions packet.
