Admissions Qualifications

Main Campus

 

First-Time(New) Applicants

-         Students must have graduated from high school or be graduating in the near future.

-         Students who are considered to have equivalent qualifications or beyond according to school regulations can apply for admittance.

-         Current students at different colleges, students who have temporarily withdrawn from their schools, college graduates or students without TOFEL scores may apply.

(Students who lack English proficiency can take ESL courses at BCU)

 

Transfer Applicants

-         Students must enroll in the same (or a similar) major to the one they have studied for at least one semester at a regular college inside or outside their home country.

-         Students who already have a bachelor¡¯s degree or who are studying to obtain a bachelor¡¯s degree may apply to transfer.

-          Students who are considered to have equivalent qualifications or beyond according to school regulations can apply to transfer.

When applying to the Main Campus (LA), please submit the documents below.

 

 

  1. One application form – use Bethesda¡¯s forms
  2. Two references - use Bethesda¡¯s forms
  3. One affidavit of financial support- use Bethesda¡¯s forms
  4. One affidavit regarding your bank balance (in English)- you should have more than US $16,500
  5. One medical certificate – use Bethesda¡¯s forms
  6. One copy of diploma or attendance certificate (in English) from the last school you attended
  7. One official transcript (in English) from the last school you attended
  8. One autobiography – 1-2 pages on A4 or Letter-sized paper
  9. Two recently - taken passport photos
  10. Application fee - applicants in the U.S. ($35), international applicants ($70)
  11. I-20 issuance fee - $100

When applying to the Yoido Office, please submit the documents below.

  3. One affidavit of financial support – use Bethesda¡¯s forms
  4. Three affidavits regarding your bank balance (in English) - you should have more than US $16,500 (around ₩ 16,000,000).
  5. One medical certificate – use Bethesda¡¯s forms
  6. Three copies of diploma or attendance certificate (in English) from the last school you attended
  7. Three copies of official transcript (in English) from the last school you attended
  8. Results of other officially-recognized tests or certificates demonstrating applicant's scholastic achievement
  9. One autobiography - 1-2 pages on A4 or Letter-sized paper
  10. Two recently-taken passport photos
  11. Copy of the census register or copy of resident registration
  12. Application fee - applicants in the U.S. ($35), international applicants ($70)
  13. I-20 issue fee – ₩ 125,000

* Admission will be cancelled in the cases below.

 

* Admission will be cancelled if an applicant who has been granted admission, is found to have applied through illegal means such as submission of false/forged documents or altered representation of application eligibility.

* Admission will be cancelled if an applicant did not submit all required admissions documents, wrote false information about himself/herself or cheated on tests.

* Applicants are responsible for notifying the admissions office in the case of an incorrect address or an address change.

* All documents submitted (including application forms and application fees) will not be returned to applicants. You cannot change any information on the application forms after they have been submitted. Your grades will not be publicly announced.

* In case of students who were supposed to graduate from their former school in February, 2005, your admission will be cancelled if you have not yet graduated.

* Other details about the application process not mentioned above will be determined through the school¡¯s bylaws.
