Admissions Criteria

to the conditions of the school. Academics Theology Department The highest goal of the Theology Department at Bethesda Christian University is to raise competent and devoted Christian leaders who
combine spirituality, intellect and Christ-like character with balance in order
to achieve God¡¯s great vision in
the 21st century. The foundation of
education is sound, balanced, and passionate Pentecostal spirituality. This
department provides a firm foundation in biblical, historical,
systematic and practical theology with other elective courses essential to communicating in modern society. The practical interest of the Theology Department is to help students recognize international trends that undergo
sudden shifts and face them positively, not simply by delivering information and knowledge but by creative communication,
critical discussion, fellowship and training. Moreover, we seek to help students find and understand God¡¯s unique vision for them and equip
them to make it come true in their lives. We have five majors: Biblical Studies,
Pastoral Ministry, Missiology (Intercultural Studies), Christian Education and Management.

Biblical Studies The Word of God is alive and powerful. This program provides theological views from the Old and New
Testaments and includes the basic concepts
of Biblical background, history, ethical issues, doctrine and adequate Bible
interpretation to provide a foundation for practical application. Through this
process, it helps the Word of God to be disseminated in this era. Goals: After completing the program,
students will be able to 1) Discuss basic
concepts about Biblical interpretation 2) Personally apply
biblical concepts in their ministry and lives as Christians 3) Present confident
biblical answers about heresy 4) Share biblical
Christianity with others 5) Effectively make personal and public
ethical decision 6) Have a living knowledge of the Bible. View curriculum ¡¤
Pastoral Ministry Pastoring is the most glorious ministry. The mission of this program is to provide students with academic, practical and professional training crucial in achieving God¡¯s calling in the
pastoral
area. Moreover, the program equips students with knowledge of Biblical interpretation, Biblical education, preaching, principles of pastoring,
and biblical values on the basis of a strong spiritual life in order for them to
mature and develop exemplary character as pastors, and to do practical ministry in local churches. Goals: As a result of the program,
students will be able to 1) Pioneer and
develop an active and productive
spiritual life 2) Practice the ministry in local churches 3) Prepare sermons
on the foundation of Biblical teaching and take spiritual care of a
congregation of Christians 4) Understand complex principles related to pastoral ministry 5) Be exemplary as pastors with outstanding Biblical values and character. View curriculum ¡¤
Missiology Evangelism (becoming a witness of Jesus Christ) is the most important
mission of churches. The mission of this program is to train students to have a passion for
world missions, to learn about different
cultures and to become effective witnesses in the world. Moreover, it equips
students not only to adequately apply Biblical knowledge and effectively communicate skills according in various cultural contexts but also to have the practical ability to conduct missions by learning the healing ministry,
discipleship training, and spiritual warfare. Goals: After completing the program,
students will 1) Live as winners
in the spiritual battle 2) Practice
effective communication skills that can be applied to various mission
organizations and cultures 3) Use practical
knowledge that can apply to physical and spiritual healing 4) Practice helping
people convert to Christianity 5) Apply Biblical
knowledge appropriately in different

Christian Education Education is an essential part of church ministry. The mission of this program is to teach and train people so that they
can serve local churches and para-church organizations. The program trains students to do effective teaching ministry by utilizing sound educational philosophy,
leadership skills, Christ-like character, professionalism and spiritual gifts
related to educational ministry. Goals: After completing this program,
students will 1) Be equipped with
sound character, knowledge and skills to play the roles of teacher and leader 2) Establish an educational
philosophy that provides the foundation of an
educational
ministry 3) Increase interest
in and participation with educational ministries in local
churches 4) Utilize spiritual
